ASSISTANT SQUASH PROFESSIONAL
The position of Assistant Squash Pro is now available at The Cleveland Racquet Club, one of the Mid-West premier racquet sports facilities located in the Eastern Suburbs of Cleveland. The club stands on 14 Acres and the facility’s include: 4 singles squash courts, 2 hardball doubles squash courts, 10 indoor and 14 outdoor tennis courts, 4 platform tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a gym and dining facilities.
The club has a healthy membership base with a very active squash program. We had over 90 juniors come through the program last season, six of which progressed to the quarter finals or better in both the US Open and the US Closed Nationals. This year we are running seven weeks of junior summer camps to compliment the busy season period of September through April. The club is host to the WISPA tour event - The Burning River Classic - and also plays host to the Professional men who come to play in the Cleveland Open.
The Assistant Squash Pro position is for 12 months a year with the potential for the active player to travel to some tournaments. He or she will be one of only two squash coaches at the club and will be responsible for the following duties:
· Coaching Private lessons, Group Lessons and Summer Camps
· Restringing Racquets (This can be learned after appointment).
· Assisting with the Organization of all club tournaments including the Pro Events.
· Program Administration.
· Traveling with juniors to tournaments.
The successful applicant should have excellent playing skills (some PSA or WISPA experience preferred) and should have experience in coaching players of all skill levels. Computer skills should include e-mail and the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Annual earnings are expected to be in excess of $50,000 which will comprise of a competitive base salary and compensation for the above duties. Medical coverage and a 401K retirement fund are also included for the position. The candidate must be able to work legally in the USA, the club will assist with Visa applications should the need arise.
