Washington DC Urban, After-School Squash Program Seeks Director DC Squash Academy, a Washington DC-based after-school youth enrichment program that combines squash instruction, academic tutoring and community service, seeks a full-time Executive Director starting summer 2006. The Executive Director is responsible for coordinating and running all aspects of DC Squash Academy, including squash practices, academic tutoring sessions and community service activities. Weekend work is required. The Executive Director is also responsible for spearheading fundraising. The Executive Director will be assisted by a part-time employee, and a dedicated executive management committee and squash coaching staff. Program Description: DC Squash Academy, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is an after-school youth enrichment program which provides squash instruction, academic tutoring and community service to Washington, DC children. Currently, DC Squash Academy works with elementary school children from two DC schools: Robert Brent Elementary School and Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School. Team members are selected to participate based on their attitude, effort, dedication and commitment. Qualifications: Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree. Strong organizational and communication skills required. Prior squash experience and experience working with children preferred.
