Creek Club, Locust Valley, New York
Job Posted June 28, 2010 by Richard Millman

Terrific Long Island, New York, Squash Pro Opportunity

creek club squashThe Creek in Locust Valley, NY is looking for an accomplished Squash Professional.

The Club has Championship golf, 12 Tennis Courts, 3 Platform Tennis Courts, 2 International Squash Courts and 1 Doubles Court. The membership is private and it is located on the water on the North Shore of Long Island.

The squash community at Creek is very enthusiastic and has a wide range of players. There are a lot of Junior players who are working hard to become High School/Prep School or even NCAA Varsity players. We currently have several nationally ranked junior players and Creek has been the home base for Amanda Sohby.

We also have a very active doubles program with Wednesday night matches and events such as the J.F. Keresey Bowl member-guest and team matches. There are a lot of singles players who are also looking to improve their games and get a great workout. The atmosphere is excellent and we have only had 4 pros since 1996, with one remaining on our staff.

We are looking for a squash professional who is the right fit for Creek. We would like the professional to take responsibility for our programs and use their creativity to develop lessons, drills, games, matches and anything that would drive Squash activity. The professional would support the Racquets Director in the running of all programs, lessons, and squash related events.

Compensation is very competitive with accommodation, retainer and excellent hourly lesson rates. We would prefer a candidate with a college degree and knowledge of CSA squash. Computer skills are very important, as are people skills. The Creek is a first class facility and excellence is expected, appreciated and rewarded.
