MALAYSIA REMAIN TOP SEED
On the strength of getting two players into the semis of the individual championship, Malaysia retained their top seeding given in the provisional seedings.

There had been speculation that Egypt's junior strength would see them replace Malaysia as top seed, but as only one Egyptian reached the last eight they have been dropped to third seed while England, with two quarter-finalists are promoted to second seed.

USA and Australia exchange place at four and five, which makes no difference to their pool placing, as seeds four and five were placed in Pool D together with the bottom two nations, Ireland and Singapore.

England's promotion means they only have two pool matches, whereas as third seeds in Pool C they would have three matches. The top two teams in each Pool go through to the quarterfinals next Thursday, July 26. Wednesday is a rest day.

Malaysia will have no trouble winning their pool, but it will be an interesting battle between Canada and New Zealand for the quarter-finals place. England will also win Pool B with little trouble with India having enough strength to beat Netherlands.

Egypt will run a away with Pool C and Germany will have no trouble in beating Switzerland and Singapore to take the second spot. In Pool D Australia and the US are too strong for Ireland and Singapore: the real battle will be in the quarters to improve on previous finishing positions.
