Womens World Draw           First day's Report - Espeth Burnside

Between my own expections and those of spectators and press, I feel under a lot of pressure this week. So it was good to get my first match played.

I believe I drew the toughest qualifier in Isabelle Stoeher. The score line doesn't quite depict the match we played. Isa took a 4-1 lead in the second before I managed to turn the tables again and get control with length and pace.

I was finally able to show some dominance after a long rally at 6-4 where I broke her spirit a little and ran out that game and then the next.
