Manta Canadian Junior Squash Championships April
22-25, 2004 World Health Club, Calgary Alberta

As Canada’s squash superstar Jonathon Power fights for
his 3rd Masters championship in Doha the nations "next one"
just might be in action this week at the Canadian Junior Squash Championships.
Some 250 of Canada’s best young junior prospects have assembled in the
Stampede city all vying for their respective age group titles.

Leading the pack and looking to repeat as U19 Boys champ
is Ontario’s Brian Ernst. He will be in tough as the local challenge will
come from the #3 seed Michael Auer. Auer has been playing exceptional
squash with his game, both mentally and physically, maturing at an alarming
rate.

Local interest is also strong in the girls division. Calgary’s
Lauren Polonich, ranked #3 in Canada, is looking to add a national title
crown to her ever expanding trophy case.

The top four boys and girls will be selected for the Canadian
junior squad which will compete in the Junior World Championships this
August.

The tournament runs from April 22-25th at the World Health
Club.
