England’s
Peter Nicol celebrates his 50th month as world No1 in the new August Dunlop
PSA Men’s World Rankings announced July 31 by the Professional Squash
Association (PSA).

The 30-year-old left-hander first topped the world rankings
in February 1998 and has held the position unopposed for the past 20 months.
The Scottish-born Londoner will have the chance to strengthen his stranglehold
on the title in next month’s Prince English Open – his first venture as
a tournament promoter – which takes place in Sheffield from 13-17 August.

In a virtually unchanged top twenty, Australia’s David
Palmer, Scotland’s John White, Canada’s Jonathon Power and France’s Thierry
Lincou retain positions 2-5 behind Nicol, respectively.

The only player to celebrate a career-best placing in
the PSA top fifty is Spaniard Borja Golan, who rises to 42. Since joining
the PSA last year, the 20-year-old from Santiago boasts four title successes
from four PSA Tour final appearances!

Dutchman Laurens Anjema, also 20, moves into the top 60
to a career-best No 59 following his unexpected success in last week’s
James Baker & Associates Oklahoma Open where he secured his second
PSA Tour title.
