WALKER, BEACH MAKE BIG MOVES; POWER STAYS WORLD No1

[Jonathon

England’s world champion Peter Nicol still remains behind Jonathon Power
in the new July Dunlop PSA Men’s World Rankings, announced today (2nd
July ) by the Professional Squash Association (PSA) – but the Canadian
still holds onto the number one slot he reclaimed from the former Scot
in April.

Two players make big rankings moves
this month largely on the strength of their British Open results in early
June. Chris Walker, the 34 year old finalist and former world #3, moved
from 33 to 15 this month while rising English star, Lee Beachill, moved
from 16 to 11. Young Australian star Stewart Boswell slipped from 16 to
17 but that does not include his great run at the end of June to the finals
of this weekend’s Scottish Open

Pakistan’s highest ranking player
is Amjad Khan at 37 while the top USA player was Jason Jewell at #99.
