Lee Beachill Takes Over at Number One Officially

Lee Beachill from England, who's rise to world #1 was a certaintly after he defeated Peter Nicol in the finals of the US Open in Boston MA USA last week, today officially supplanted Peter Nicol as the World #1 squash player.

Nicol, who spent a total of 60 months as the #1 (not in succession) now falls to #3, while Jonathon Power who had to pull out of the US Open with a minor injury, falls to ninth. Power is entered in a succession of events this month in a quest to regain a strong ranking position.
