Cardiff Wales, June 1 2001 PSA. [Jonathon
Power Profile] [Jonathon
Power Documentary] World No2 Nicol, who renounced his Scottish allegiance in March to become English, rediscovered his form last week by successfully defending his Irish Open title in Dublin. The arch rivals are seeded to meet in the final of the British Open next week at the NIA in Birmingham, where Nicol will be hoping to win back his world No1 status. Australia's David Palmer, runner-up to Nicol in Dublin, retains his No3 ranking, ahead of fourth-placed Welshman David Evans who will be defending his British Open title for the first time next week. In a relatively unchanged June list, Egypt's Omar Elborolossy moves up to a career-high world No14, just two places behind the country's leading player Ahmed Barada who has yet to compete on the PSA Tour this year following a back injury. 1 [1] Jonathon Power CAN
