I survive a sprained ankle. Look forward to possible rematch with Bailey.
May 11 2002 San Francisco

Hi friends. Here's a little tid-bit about my match today. I won 9-0,9-5,9-0. I was 9-0 and 3-0 up and twisted my right ankle. (Just what I need — another niggling injury,) but after the allowed two minute delay, I carried on.

I felt sharp today and was happy with my accuracy and tacticts. Overall a better effort today for me. I was ready for Jennys attempts to attack. I parried that and controlled the rallies.

The final tomorrow is at 3pm. As I left to take care of my ankle, Tania was 1-0 games and 5-1 in the second up... she was looking too good for Stephanie Brind today. Thus, I am expecting a strong possibility of a rematch of the British open final. It will be a challenge for me, since I am sure Tania wants to improve upon the result there!
