Junior Stars Not Quite Ready for Prime Time

Both Nicol David and Isabelle Stoehr put forth good showings this evening against top Touring pros Cassie Campion and Linda Charman-Smith tonight. In Isabelle's case, she made Linda work extremely hard for the match, despite the deceptive scoreline. Charman-Smith was helped along by some dodgy refereeing that hindered Isabelle's cause in the narrow, 20' court.

Nicol David made a lot of unforced errors tonight, as Cassie Campion sailed through towards and second successive matchup against Linda Charman-Smith.

Probably the match of the evening was the one hour twenty five minute duel between Shelley Kitchen and Senga Macfie, won eventually by Kitchen who came from behind and withstood the creative energies on court of the alway determined and creative Senga.

My match against Madeline Perry went pretty easily for me, as I was able to keep her in the back of the court for most of the evening.
