My match today against Jenny Tranfield commenced the beginning of round four. I felt strong and confident and played that way. I attacked the ball at every opportunity and put the ball away when the opening was available. I won 9/0,9/1,9/2 in 20 minutes.

I am looking forward to playing Linda Charman tomorrow and getting a true test of my form.

World No 9 Fiona Geaves was the only seeded player failing to reach the quarter finals, losing in a tough fifty (50) minutes to the rising talent of England's Stephanie Brind 9/0,3/9,8/10,9/2,9/2.

Former South African No1, Natalie Grainger survived her 'roller coaster' battle with Australian Rachael Grinham. The young Queenslander led 7-0 in the 3rd and 7-3 in the 4th before Grainger changed the pace, found her rhythm to win 9/6,3/9,9/7,9/7 in 49 minutes.

World No1 Leilani Joyce was pushed by the rapidly improving Vanessa Atkinson.
