AUSSIE TEAM DETERMINED
The Australian team had another convincing win today over Malaysia and are on course for winning their pool and maintaining their ranking position of No 2.

Australia have a chance to still win, but we have to get there first. My role at No 1 is vitally important to the team. Robyn Cooper at 3 is a strong three as she is still playing quite well. We would love to win and be able to show we can do it even in the absence of Carol Owens.

GERMAN-DUTCH RIVALRY REVISITED
The tightest match of the day was Germany and Holland. The Germans got off to fantastic start with their No 3 Daniela Grzenia defeating Dutch No 2 Denise Sommers 3-0, while the dramatically improved Vanessa Atkinson thrashed World No 14 Sabine Schoene equalling the score at 1-1.

Daphne Jelgersma got Holland off to a winning position leading 2-0 over Ina Meine. The German fought back to win in 58 minutes and continuing the traditional squash rivalry between these two countries.

ISABELLE AND LEILANI
Young French star Isabelle Stoehr won an important game from World No 1 Leilani Joyce of New Zealand, who is putting on a great show after last weeks disappointment of losing the World Open title.
