AUSSIE TEAM MOVES
Tonight Australia thrashed Ireland 3-0 with myself and Robyn Cooper giving positive performances. We continue to do well based on our motivation and desire.

FRANCE EXCITES
The most exciting match was France v Scotland. The youg and rising talent, Isabelle Stoehr had a great win defeating World no. 16 Pamela Nimmo 3-0. Then Scotland struck with the experienced Wendy Maitland equalling the match for Scotland 1-1.

It came down to two tour "journeymen", Corrine Castets and Senga Macfie.

Former French no. 1 Corrine Castets showed her past experience and fighting spirit with a gutsy win over Senga Macfie. Her team-mates enthusiasm and encouragement helped pull the 35 year old through, even after Macfie broke her racquet, had to change grips and created a time delay when Castets was 7-4 up. (see Colin McQuillan's account of the match)
